HIV/AIDS in the UN System Workplace

On the occasion of World Aids Day 2002, that will take place as every year on 1 December, the Executive Bureau invites all staff members:

1. To visit World Aids Day 2002 website:

http ://www.unaids.org/worldaidsday/ 2002/iindex.html, where are listed among other issues all updated information on HIV/AIDS, as well as a list of publications, the world campaign and many other links.

2. To complete a survey

Prepared by UNAIDS for all staff members of the UN system This survey is designed to learn more about what UN staff know about HIV and AIDS as well as the UN’s policies and entitlements about HIV/AIDS. UNAIDS is also trying to find out how UN staff learn about HIV and AIDS and if they want to learn even more. Based on your feedback, UNAIDS plan to develop improved opportunities for UN staff to learn about HIV and AIDS which affects us all either directly or in the world around us. Your responses are strictly confidential. All responses go into a global database, but no individual is ever identified. We would appreciate your honest feedback, keeping in mind that there are no right or wrong answers.

The survey is to be found on
