UN SPECIAL ET LA GENÈVE INTERNATIONALE
Depuis une année, le magazine UN Special a entamé une « visite guidée »de la Genève internationale. Grâce à celle-ci, des passerelles ont été lancées entre différentes entités et ont permis que des articles et interviews soient réalisés.
Au-delà de ce travail journalistique, la vocation première du magazine a resurgi : créé pour le personnel et par le personnel. C’est ainsi que peu à peu, nous avons essayé d’initier et d’accompagner plusieurs projets: l’orchestre des Nations Unies, suivi par le projet de crèche internationale. Chaque contact, réflexion sur la meilleure façon d’aboutir, permettait de tenter d’éviter les obstacles administratifs, politiques voire humains. La forte implantation de nos organisations dans la cité, le fantastique réseau d’expertises, les nombreux points et attentes communs de vie quotidienne nous ont amené, à la fin du mois de septembre, à proposer un projet de Green Day sur la Place des Nations.
Une étude est actuellement en cours avec différents partenaires. Nous voulions utiliser le support de ce magazine, qui est l’initiateur, pour faire partager ces projets à nos lecteurs, à nos dirigeants et à toutes les bonnes volontés.
Ces projets, nous en sommes persuadés, rassembleraient les énergies et enverraient le message fort: la famille étendue des Nations Unies, est ouverte, disponible, dynamique et sa motivation pour réaliser ses objectifs et les faire partager est intacte. Le message est lancé.
UN SPECIAL AND INTERNATIONAL GENEVA
A year ago, the UN Special editorial committee began a tour of international Geneva. Thanks to this tour, links have been created between different entities and, as a result, interviews and articles have been published.

Inherent to this journalistic work, the vocation of the magazine has been re-asserted: created by the staff, for the staff.
This is how, step by step, we have initiated and followed through several projects: the UN Orchestra project, followed by the creation of an international crèche, for example. Every contact made has given rise to reflection on how to achieve better results, avoiding administrative, political and even human obstacles.
At the end of September, the potential synergy between international organizations, so well-established in the city, the fantastic network of available expertise and the numerous convergences in our expectations of daily life, inspired us, with a project for a Green Day on the Place des Nations. A feasibility study is currently underway with different partners.
We would like to use the magazine, in its role of instigator, to share these projects with our readers, with our leaders, and with all persons of goodwill. These events, we are sure, will energize people and send out a strong message that the extended UN family is accessible, ready and dynamic and that its motivation to achieve its objectives and to share them is intact. The message has now been sent out.
