GROUPEMENT DE PRÉVOYANCE ET D’ASSURANCE DES FONCTIONNAIRES INTERNATIONAUX
Depuis de nombreuses années, plusieurs milliers de fonctionnaires des Nations Unies et d’autres organisations internationales bénéficient, par leur adhésion au GPAFI, de l’assurance complémentaire des frais de santé.
Fort de son expérience, le GPAFI propose depuis le début de l’année 2009, une nouvelle assurance complémentaire destinée aux fonctionnaires du BIT et de l’UIT.
En effet, le personnel de ces deux organisations étant assuré par la Caisse d’Assurance pour la Protection de la Santé du personnel BIT-UIT (CAPS), l’assurance complémentaire mise en place par le GPAFI permettra aux adhérents d’être couverts à hauteur de 98% des frais réels pour les traitements ambulatoires les plus courants et de bénéficier, en cas d’hospitalisation, d’une couverture étendue pour les frais de séjour en chambre semiprivée ou privée.
Une large gamme de prestations et de services, à des conditions particulièrement avantageuses, est disponible pour les fonctionnaires du BIT et de l’UIT et les membres de leurs familles assurés par la CAPS.
Outre un remboursement des frais de santé de plus en plus courants, tels que les médecines naturelles ou médecines douces, les frais d’optique, les soins dentaires et les traitements orthodontiques des enfants, les assurés auront accès à divers services allant d’une assistance internationale à une protection juridique en tant que patient.

Since many years, several thousand international civil servants of the United Nations and other international organizations benefit, through their membership to GPAFI, from the complementary health insurance.
With a wealth of experience behind it, GPAFI provides since the beginning of the year 2009, a new complementary health insurance intended for ILO and ITU staff members.
Indeed, the staff of these two organizations being insured by the ILO/ITU Staff Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), the complementary health insurance set up by GPAFI will allow to be covered at 98% of the real costs for the most current out-patient treatments and in case of hospitalization, to benefit from a wide coverage for accommodation in a semiprivate or private room.
A wide range of benefits and services on particularly advantageous conditions is available for ILO and ITU staff members and family members insured by the SHIF.
Besides refund of the more and more current health expenses like alternative medicine, optical care, dental care and orthodontic treatments for children, the insured persons will have access to several services going from an international assistance to a legal protection for patients.
