The World Healthy Image Bank (WHIB) is an Internet based digital photo library devoted exclusively to visual communication. WHIB is dedicated to promoting high-quality images to the UN, Agencies of the UN common system, Ministries, Civil Society, the Private Sector and other related publications. WHIB is developing its own image database illustrating educational, health, labor, environmental, humanitarian and sustainable development issues and offers to carry out customized photographic assignments and consultation for the gathering and dissemination of images.

We plan to offer different levels of access to the images: public for general use, password-protected for networks. The WHIB should also be promoted during the General Assemblies of the UN and UN Agencies as well as to individual at duty stations. In order to disseminate photographic materials to regions where internet access is limited, WHIB may develop customized CD ROM (or DVD) – based simplified versions of selected images of the repository and according to the customer’s needs. Images may not be used for advertising purposes without separate and express permission of WHIB.*

Boy All digital images contained in the World Healthy Image Bank Photo Library database are copyright of WHIB unless otherwise mentioned and can only be used in accordance with WHIB’s ethic and deontology and must refer to the Terms and Uses outlined by WHIB.

The World Healthy Image Bank is apolitical, free of any religious influence, non-sectarian and registered at and controlled by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FIEM Reg. no. CH-660-2026002-7).

WHIB is dedicated to helping explore business dynamics, mainstreaming CSR (corporate social responsibility) in a company’s strategy, management, and system. WHIB will be sponsored by private institutions.

The digital photographs will be made available free of charge in high definition.

*However, a charge will be made for images used for advertising purposes.
