FICSA Council

58th Session – Rome – 7-11 February 2005

This year, the FICSA Council will be hosted by the staff representative bodies of FAO and WFP in Rome: the Union of General Service Staff (UGSS) in cooperation with the Association of Professional Staff (APS) and the Field Staff Association (FSA). FICSA members will be coming from all parts of the world for a full week of discussions, exchange of ideas, meeting of the various standing committees in preparation for the upcoming ICSC meeting in Bangkok. There will be training sessions on pensions, security, staff representation and communication. A special guest speaker from the London School of Economics will give a presentation on Pay for Performance, a very relevant topic as pay for performance is seen by some of our employers as a motivator for excellence and increased efficiency in our workplace.
