Its 50 contributors from 20 countries celebrate the rich diversity of human experience. Its theme, Geneva and beyond, is reflected in the different stories and poems that take the reader around the world. The title of the review was inspired by the vigorous shoots that sprout each spring on the plane trees along Genevas quais. The reference is to the contributors common experience of creating lives in places where they do not initially have roots. The review has been described as «a splendid showcase for writing from the international community in Geneva» (Peter Ho Davies) and «never less than riveting» (Writers Forum UK.) This new volume, enriched with striking photographs of Geneva, is the 10th anniversary issue of the Geneva Writers Group, that brings together over 80 English-language writers.
