Library borrowing privilegesfor UNOG Retirees United United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) retirees who have a retirees badge for access to the Palais issued by the UN Security and Safety Section and who live in the greater Geneva area (ie. cantons of Geneva and Vaud as well as neighboring France), are hereby informed that, in addition to using the cyberspace and other reading room facilities on the premises, they can also borrow UNOG Library books. The loan period for books is one month and for unbound issues of periodicals is two weeks (subject to renewal if no one is on the waiting list). Retirees must understand that this loan privilege is contingent upon their abiding by the librarys rules and their prompt return of books (so that the library staff do not have to spend time recalling overdue books). In the event of non-compliance with library rules or the loss of books (without paying for a replacement copy), retirees would run the risk of having their Palais grounds pass with- drawn by the Security Section.
