The 2002 winners of the UN Special quiz
You were more than 1000-1235 to be precise-to answer the difficult questions
on sustainable development published in the June issue of the UN Special.
Out of these 1235 answers, 83% were correct. The most impressive aspect
of these results, apart from the large number of participants, was the
diversity of the organizations and the originating countries. Colleagues
from all the international organizations in Geneva, New York, Santiago,
Bangkok as well as the diplomats from the Geneva missions responded. Bravo,
and thank you for reading the UN Special.
The winners were drawn on 29 August 2002, in the presence of the chairperson of the polling officers of UNOG, Mrs Miranda Patel, and the polling officer from WHO, Mrs Lorna Wieteska (see results on pages 48-50).
A big thank you to Ms Monque Eïd, from WHO, without whom this contest could never have taken place. She was solely responsible for soliciting the prizes. And, of course, a big thank you to the companies who provided them.
