Annual Competition of the Club Photo - Trees

The Club Photo International (CPI) is organizing a photo competition on the subject of trees in the context of the International Year of Forests. Contestants must register on the CPI website (http://clubphotointernational.com ) by filling in an electronic entry form.

Details regarding how to send photos and rules of the competition are accessible from the home page. The deadline for participation is 15 November 2011. The competition is open to staff members of the UN system in Geneva, staff of Permanent Missions to the UN, accredited NGOs and members of the CPI.

An exhibition will be held at the beginning of 2012 in the Palais des Nations and prizes will be awarded to the best photos.

Photos should highlight the beauty of trees or their value to society on a social, economic or environmental level. Whether they raise questions or provoke a feeling of appreciation for nature’s amazing diversity of shapes, sizes and colours, send in your best shots.
